Emergency training: All our staff takes regularly part in first aid training.
Emergency reaction: For all terrestrial and marine destinations a rescue chain has been established. Our tour guides are equipped with cellular and/or radio and have all necessary phone-numbers of nearest hospitals, police stations and emergency services at hand in order to call for help. Rescue and emergency plans have been elaborated and exercised.
Traveling on land: All cars used for transportation do count with first-aid-kits. Additionally tour guides are carrying a first-aid-kit.
Traveling at sea: While operating at sea you will be equipped with a life-jacket. Our personal knows the Peruvian coast very well. You will stay close to the coastline, and the Peruvian sea is not known for storms.
As an additional optional and free service for your comfort and well being we do provide during the winter months waterproof and windproof clothing (pants and jackets) that are to be worn on top of your cloths. This way you will be able to enjoy your boat ride while staying warm and dry.
All our boats do comply with the safety and security standards determined by the Peruvian coast guards (DICAPI):
- Life Jackets have to be used at all time on board our boats.
- Small boats with only one motor do count with oars.
- All boats do count with whistle, a mirror for giving emergency signals, tow end and signal rockets
- Children younger than 12 years have to be accompanied by a parent or authorized adult.
Additionally our boats are equipped with radio communication, GPS and other necessary equipment.
Diving tours: Diving operations are equipped with a DAN-rescue-luggage with two oxygen tanks. Our divers and boat crew are regularly trained for diving emergencies.
