Wetland of Puerto Viejo

The wetland of Puerto Viejo is located about 70 Kilometers south of Lima and has a size of more than 300 hectares. More than 100 bird species have been registered in this wetland, some are as interesting as the Great grebe or the Lesser night-hawk and some are endemic like for example the Coastal miner.
